1930SummerThe earliest nest of the Chippy was found by Ralph Woolsey, near Shakopee, on 11ay 12th; three eggs. The latest nest with eggs was seen by Alden Risser at Frontenac on June 21st and the writer saw a nest in Itasca county on June 23rd which contained three young. Young still were being fed, out of their nest, at Minneapolis on 1ugust 7th (the writer,)
1931SummerMarius Morse reports a nest with two eggs on MPy 23rd, and Ralph Woolsey found another which contained one egg on June 1oth. -22 -Ihe Flicker, 1931
1932SummerA tinished but empty nest was seen May 5 (Woolsey). A nest was found at Montevideo as late as AugUst 11, and in it were 1 sparrow egg and 1 Brown-headed Cowbird egg (Mrs. vJilson).
1933Summer Records of thirteen nests received. Stein and the writer found the first, which held 3 eggs, on May 11th at Shakopee. Two nests containing 1 egg each were found on June 23rd at Taylor's Falls by MOrse. 1
1934Summer Of tho many nests of the 11Chippy11 report~;.:d, the earliest held only 1 broken egg when found by Hanson o.nd Hiemenz near St. Cloun on May 16th. Several observers repc~tod occupied nests found on May 22nd. The latest nest was~ fcund by Eisele on July 21st at Itasca Park. The Flicker, 1934 -P. 54
1935Summer Honors must be boatowed· upon George Kutz of Stillwnter for his being the best Minnesota 11Chippic11 nest finder. He sends in records of a dozen nests seen in Stillwater from May 28th to tho· middle of Juno, and they contain almost every conceivable number and combinc.tion of eggs, young and· •OoiiJbird eggs. Yet Prosser · has the earliest record -a nest with 1 egg seen with Swedenborg at Linwood May 22nd. Dobie of Park Rapids is third. He saw 4 eggs there May 29th. Swodonbvrg submits n record of o. neat of "·:· :~c 4 Ohippie eggs and a Brown-headed Cowbird egg found at Onnmia June 1st. The Prosser -Swedenborg record of 4 young seen at Linwood July is the lntest. '
1936Summer George Kuntz reports the earliest nest which he located near Stillwater on May 11th; the nest held one egg. A five egg nest was found by Paul Higbby at Aurora on May 25th. The latest nest was found July 1oth by A. c. Rosenwinkel at Finlayson and held young ready to leave the nest.
1937SummerOn May 25 George Kutz found a nest of four eggs near Stillwater. Swedenborg found a nest of 2 small young on July 17, near Beaver Bay.
1938SummerG. C. Kutz found a nest that held one broken egg on May 20 near Stillwater. On June 7 Kucz found a nest of one egg and 2 Cow-. bird eggs near Stillwater. At Lake Ver million Prosser and Swedenhorg found a nest of 4 eggs on June 7· Milton D. Thompson saw Chippies building near Walker on July r6; 4 eggs were laid in this nesr. Three eggs hatched and the young left; one egg did not hatch.
1940SummerThis spar­row was reported frequently. H. Eng­strom found 3 eggs on May I7. The nest was observed until the young, which were banded, left. Rysgaard, Hero, D. S. T. C. ornithology class, T. S. Roberts Club and A. D. DuBois also sent in records.

1944Summer46. May 13, two eggs, St. Paul, Hofstead; Cum­mings also found one with two eggs on this date. August 19, two young and one young cowbird, St. Paul, Hofstead. Others were reported by Aler, Cum­mings, Helen Towle, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Trainor, Field, Eastman, Lakela, Hof­stead, Brother Hubert and Brother Pius, and Olson.
